Yes. Every instructor starts with a one-time grant of 200 free credits — no card — enough to run one real interviewed assignment with a small class (up to 25 students). When you want more, it's $2 per interview, paid per course with one receipt, and schools license per student per year.
One student completing one assignment. The optional practice round and any retries or mastery-loop attempts are included in that same $2 — a student who needs three tries to reach mastery never costs you more. 25 students on a 6-assignment course = 150 interviews = $300 for the term.
Each payment unlocks its share. Split $300 into 4 and you pay $75 a month, and each payment releases the interviews it covers — so the interviews arrive at the pace you pay for them, not all at once. Match the split to your course: never split longer than the course runs, or the last payments unlock interviews after teaching ends. Billing stops on its own once the last installment completes your course: a 4-payment plan charges exactly 4 times, never a 5th. Nothing you have already paid for ever expires — unused interviews stay in your balance and roll forward into your next course. One credit is about one minute of live conversation. A typical interview runs 6–10 credits and an optional practice round about 3–4. On a course plan, interviews you have paid for are yours until used — they roll over and never expire, including across terms. School plans size the pool to your cohort so you never think about it.
Usually, yes — most instructors run it through departmental instructional or professional-development funds, and we hand you the whole packet the moment you pay: instant receipt, W-9, a pre-written chair memo, and a one-page student-data summary for your IT office. Fund rules differ by institution — "Pay once" gives your fund a single receipt for the whole course, which most funds strongly prefer over monthly charges. One honest note: departmental instructional budgets are usually the cleanest fit; some professional-development funds only cover tools for YOUR OWN development, so check whether instructional software is an eligible category before filing.
