What is Voice ID?
A short recording that lets Viva confirm later interviews are yours. Optional, and never used for grading.

Voice ID is about twenty seconds of you reading a short passage. Viva keeps that sample so it can check that the person in each later interview is you. You are asked on a screen of its own, and you can say no.

- It is never used for grading. It only tells your instructor whether the voice matched.
- It is never sold. The sample goes to one provider that runs the comparison for Viva, and to nobody else.
- It is deleted when its purpose is served, 90 days after your account closes, or 3 years after you last used Viva, whichever comes first.
- It protects your grade: if anyone ever questions whether you sat your own interview, the match settles it.
You see the screen when you first join Viva, and again before your first interview if you have not answered yet. If you said no, Viva offers it once more before each new assignment, on the same screen. Whatever you choose there, your interview opens right after.
This is one page of the documentation inside Viva.
Instructors get the rest: the walkthroughs, the screenshots, and Ask Viva, which finds the right page from a typed question.
